 Atlanta based live concert Shaky Knees has reported their arrangement for 2022. Green Day, Nine Inch Nails, and My Morning Jacket are the main events. Billy Idol, Godspeed You! Dark Emperor, Mannequin Pussy, Japanese Breakfast, Amyl and The Sniffers, Pup, The Garden and Angel Du$t are among the groups declared. It's been almost over a long time since Paste Music's last Shaky Knees, so to say we're eager to slap on our veils and get back out to the capacity is a significant misleading statement. In the wake of taking 2020 off, the non mainstream rock-forward celebration is getting back to downtown Atlanta's Central Park this end of the week, Oct. 22-24, with a noteworthy arrangement of craftsmen, both laid out and new to the scene, close behind. However we were freeloaded to see remarkable individual main event Stevie Nicks bow out-of both Shaky Knees and every last bit of her other 2021 exhibitions, refering to COVID concerns-go-to large stage rockers Foo Fighters stepped in to play Friday's last set in her stead, with Run the Jewels and The Strokes to finish off Saturday and Sunday, separately. The Shaky Beats Music Festival has quickly become one of the biggest music festivals in the country with thousands of visitors tuning up each weekend. The Shaky Beats Music Festival is a free weekly music festival which takes place in Central Park in New York City. The festival features popular and underground artists from throughout the world as well as many up-and-coming artists who have only been playing in small venues until now. The Shaky Beats Festival is now scheduled for ten days in late May and early June and will feature sets from Above & Beyond, Disclosure, Chromeo, J.I.D., Killer Mike, Wale, Washed Out, and many other local and international artists.

Besides the Shaky Beats Festival in New York, the Athens based Shaky Beats Recordings Festival takes place every Saturday at the Athens Center Studios. Another small yet interesting festival in the area is the Blanket Bass Music Festival which takes place at the Midway Cafe every Saturday evening. The festival featured artists like Chase and Status, Dot Da Genius, and others. This was also the first music festival at the former Rave Bar in Athens, which closed down after five hours due to smoke and fire. This year's festival will be held in the Midpointe Plaza instead of the former Rave Bar.

If you live in Atlanta and are interested in both the Shaky Beats Festival in New York and the Athens residency from last year, I strongly suggest you check out both events. The Shaky Beats Festival is still my favorite weekend in New York since the endless amount of fun continues each weekend (and sometimes daily). My summer itinerary includes visits to the Bronx Zoo, the Emory Arts Center, the Georgia Museum of Art, and of course, the central park. If you live in a place with a mild climate all throughout the year, the Shaky Beats Festival in New York should prove to be a great addition to your summer musical diary.

Shaky Beats Festival Will Not Be Returning In 2020

Another festival bites the dust when the Shaky Beats Festival in Atlanta started today on social media to announce that it will not host a copy in 2020.

Shaky Beats Festival, which has been a staple of the Atlanta festival scene since its debut in 2016, has become a fun weekend for everyone who attended in May of each year. Filling the void that TomorrowWorld and Counterpoint had left the scene in Georgia, it became an appropriate event for many looking to get a dose of dance music.

In a surprising announcement today, the organizers of Shaky Beats went to social networks to inform them that the festival would not return in 2020. In a brief message to their accounts, they thanked their fans for attending and dancing over the years, but they did little else why we call it completion.

Originally presented at Centennial Olympic Park in Atlanta, Shaky Beats moved to Central Park for its 2018 releases and the final version in 2019. The festival also hosted a group of talented artists that varied in style and size alike. Attendees were able to capture some of the most important names in dance music such as Martin Garrix, Zedd and Kaskade, along with other talented artists ranging from Rufus Du Sol, Lane 8, Boombox Cartel and The Funk Hunters.

The last few years have been particularly difficult for festivals and clubs and we feel sorry when Shaky Beats became another victim. While the organizers identified 2020 in the publication, there was no indication that he would return after a brief pause like Okeechobee.

Shaky Beats Music Festival Details 2019 Lineup

69 phones stolen during Shaky Beats Music Festival

Atlanta police recovered dozens of cellphones reported stolen during last weekend’s Shaky Beats Music Festival after tracking them to an Atlanta FedEx.

Police were tipped off to the phones’ location by a victim using the “Find My iPhone” application, police Officer Donald T. Hannah said Friday in a news release.

The woman went to the store on Piedmont Road on May 14 and pinged her phone.

“The phone rang inside of a box that was dropped off earlier that morning,” Hannah said in the release.

FedEx would not release the phone to the victim, who went to the Zone 6 precinct for additional assistance.

When she returned to the FedEx with police, they recovered her phone and 68 others packed inside two boxes, Hannah said. 

Most of the phones were put in airplane mode or had the SIM cards removed and taped to the back, according to police.

Authorities are now working to return the phones to their owners and identify and charge those behind the thefts. 

The charges could range from theft by receiving to robbery, Hannah said. 

“We are asking for anyone who believes they may have lost, misplaced or had a phone stolen during this festival to contact the lead Detective S.N. Krieger Hannah said in the release. “Be prepared to provide a detailed description of their device and some evidence of ownership.”

Shaky Beats drew thousands to Centennial Olympic Park for three days of electronic dance music and hip-hop. Zedd and Ludacris were among the headliners.
